Q. My interlibrary loan was canceled, why?

Answer

There may be a few reasons why an interlibrary loan request is cancelled. Please look at the email message received. Two common reasons:

J.W. England Library holds this article electronically, please go to the catalog and type in the article name.

If we hold the title, we do not need to fill the item through Interlibrary loan. You will be emailed instructions on how to access the article or book you need.

We have tried all possible sources, and no one is able to supply this item.

Unfortunately, if a lending institution is not willing to supply an item, we are not able to lend circulate it to you. Institutions sometimes reject requests for copyright reasons, conditions of the items, lack of access to items, or staff issues.

If you still need the item please contact ill@usciences.edu and we can try to assist you.
