Can I order a full dissertation when the Proquest version only has about 20 pages? Is this available by interlibrary loan? The dissertation I want is Johnson, M. L. (2013). Faculty perception and use of learning-centered strategies to assess student performance (Doctoral dissertation, The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga).

Answer

Yes, you can request dissertations through interlibrary loan.  We can send requests using ILLiad and try to acquire the full text of the dissertation for you.  Most often dissertation requests are sent to, and filled by, the institution where the student wrote the dissertation.  Sometimes libraries will send a paper copy of the dissertation like they would loan a book, and sometimes they will just send a PDF to us.  And, in some cases, they may deny the request.  The fulfillment rate on dissertations and theses is lower than it is for articles or books, but we definitely do request these successfully on a regular basis.

So, please complete a request in ILLiad for this work, and we will do our very best to get a copy for you.
