Q. I'm working on SMILE and I'm confused about the additional articles we have to find on proquest.

1. Should it be primary or secondary? 2. Does it have to be the same article? -I found links that take me back to the article on SD and articles that are similar, about the same animal for example, but are not researching the exact same thing. Let me know when you get a chance. Thank you!

Answer

The primary article you find should NOT be the article you started with, but it should be similar.  You are right that finding additional articles about the same animal is a good first step.  You might also look for articles about the same or related behaviors.  For example, if your article was about chimpanzees raising their young, you might search for articles about chimpanzees and parenting.

Finally, you don't have to find the actual articles--just the citations to the articles!  I believe that you need to find citations for one primary article and one secondary article.  I recommend that you double-check the model project to be sure.  I'm sorry I don't have a definite answer for you on this, but I don't have a copy of the assignment and I don't want to tell you the wrong thing.

I hope this helps!  Let us know if you have any other questions--
