Q. MedDRA asks for login and password, what do I put? My school login and PW didn't work.

Answer

Accessing MedDRA is different from how you access many of our other resources. To begin, make sure that you are clicking one of our links to MedDRA, such as the one which appears on our Databases A-Z page, and not  a regular MedDRA link found via Google. After clicking it, you should be prompted to enter your USciences username and password; once this is done, you'll be viewing an intermediary screen which will give you specific access credentials for logging in to MedDRA. Copy these, or make a note of them, and then click the MedDRA Web-Based Browser link at the bottom of the page. When you click this link, the current tab/window will go blank, and a new window should open. This window will show the login page for MedDRA, and ihere you'll need to enter those access credentials that you saved. After entering them, the database should load.

The most common thing that can go wrong is when a user's browser blocks the popup window. Take care when you click to enter MedDRA that you can disable popup blockers for this site.

If you need any additional help accessing this resource, or any other library resource, please ask for more help.
