Q. It says my printing balance is insufficient but I have never printed anything from school before. How do I get my balance corrected?
I would say the place to start is to check the balance on your card to see if there is money in your account for printing. If you've never printed before, then there should be a sizable chunk of money listed. You can check your balance through the link on the library homepage that says "Add Funds to Your Card" You would log in using your normal network username and password. On the lefthand side there is a menu; click on the link that says "Financial Status." Then click on "Financial Data" and hit "Submit" at the bottom. You may see a number of lines for meal plans, etc. but one should say PRINTING and should have an amount listed (you're allocated 1000 pages per year, which at 9 cents per page would be $90).
If you do see money listed there, then it would seem your account is fine and there's a glitch with the computer/printer you're using or the webprint interface. I would suggest trying a different computer or printer and seeing if that will work. If you don't see any printing money on your account, contact the IT Department, who oversee the printing system on campus. They can be reached on 215-596-7575.
