Q. I'm working on the SMILE project and I'm wondering how I should cite my articles.

Answer

Hi-

Use the following example to format the citation for your primary article:

Powell, K.L., Roberts, G., & Nettle, D.  2012.  Eye images increase charitable donations: evidence from an opportunistic field experiment in a supermarket. Ethology, 118, 1096-1101.

And use the following example to format the citation for your secondary article:

Foley, James A.  2013.  Chimps feeding habits suggests long-term memory use.  Nature World News. October 24, 2013.

Alternately, you could also follow this general format:  Last name, First name M.I.  Year.  Article or Chapter Title.  Page numbers.  Journal Title.

Also, since you are working on the SMILE project, you may also be interested to see this related question/answer:
