I need a copy of the Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China 2010 edition. I see on the catalogue that there is a 2005 edition at the library. Do you have the most updated version? If not, would it be possible to get the 2010 edition through the library from some other sources?

Answer

Hi-

Because this book is not yet widely held by other libraries, unfortunately it cannot be ordered via our E-ZBorrow service. In fact, I can see that there are only two copies of this book held by libraries in the US, at Yale, and the FDA. Both libraries will not share this book, BUT it is possible that they would send a scan of a brief section or sections of the book.

Do you need a specific section(s), such as entries on specific drugs or on packaging rules? If so, you can place an order via our ILLiad service (accessible from the library homepage under Services at http://www.usciences.edu/library/), but with only two libraries owning the book, there is no guarantee that your request will be fulfilled.

If you decide to do this, you should place the request using the "Book or Dissertation" form, and be sure to say in the Notes section that you only want a section, and be as specific as you can about what you need.

Unfortunately, this is the best we can suggest at the moment. Please let us know if you have further questions.
