Q. Can I get access to an electronic version of a recent USciences dissertation?
Yes you can.
All USciences masters' theses and dissertations are available on microfiche in the library. The library has a microform reader, so you can copy the document to a flash drive or to your computer to read it. (For visitors from outside the USciences community there is a charge for copying pages from our microfiche collection).
We also provide access to ProQuest's Dissertations and Theses database, where dissertations of USciences and other schools' students appear. Note that this database does not contain an exhaustive collection of ALL dissertations and theses produced by any one school. Most documents in this database are only available as 25 page previews, but some do include full text.
For dissertations and theses from USciences/Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science, you can use the specific Dissertations and Theses @ University of the Sciences database, which only includes papers written at our school. As of March 2017, this database included records for 460 papers, with the oldest citation being for 1960. Of the 460 dissertations and theses, 304 were available in full text, the oldest being from 1973.
