According to AMA standards, how many authors do you list on a medical device study that is being presented as a late breadking clinical trial at an ACC annual scientific study. Trying to confirm the citation in advance. Please advise. Thanks

Answer

Per the AMA Manual of Style, list up to 6 individual authors by name; if there are more than 6 authors, list the first 3 followed by "et al." The Manual makes no distinction as to type of study cited or the recency of the study.
