Who is the author of a page at Genetics Home Reference (https://ghr.nlm.nih.gov/)?

Is it the National Library of Medicine or the National Institutes of Health?

Answer

I would use “U.S. National Library of Medicine” as the author since that’s what it says prominently at the top of the page. The NIH link next to the library’s name doesn’t make it clear what that is or what its relationship to the U.S. National Library of Medicine is. It’s only in the fine print at the bottom of the page where NIH is spelled out and the relationship is made clear.
