Q

How do I cite something from the Access World News database in NLM?

Hello: MY PA244 class is searching the Access World News database found on Newsbank. They have to cite the reference and I need some clarification. I am using the NLM Citing Medicine format. Should they be citing this as a database(serial) found in chapter 24? Thank you Grace

Answer

Here's a sample citation that I have put together following the examples in Citing Medicine.

Brown, D. U. S. to donate 10 percent of swine flu vaccine to WHO. Washington Post. 2009 Sep 18 [cited 2009 Sep 21]. In: NewsBank [Internet]. Naples, (FL): NewsBank, Inc. [1985]. [about 1 p.]. Available from: http://www.newsbank.com
